TRT for Grapevine

Why Grapevine men drive north for this care.

Grapevine sits 10 to 15 minutes south of our Southlake clinic. The patients we see from Grapevine value clinical rigor over flashy marketing—comprehensive labs, deliberate dose calibration, and a physician who actually reviews their results. Most franchise men's health clinics in the area don't operate that way.

We regularly see TRT patients from Historic Main Street area, Silver Lake, Stone Bridge Oaks, and homes near Grapevine Mills. The first visit is free—on-site testosterone test, body composition scan, and 15 minutes with the medical director. No card on file required.

Testosterone replacement therapy, defined.

Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is the medical reintroduction of testosterone in men whose endogenous production has fallen below physiologic thresholds, with documented symptoms. The standard threshold for clinical hypogonadism is two morning total testosterone readings under 300 ng/dL paired with documented symptoms—low energy, low libido, depressed mood, poor recovery, increased visceral fat. We treat people, not lab numbers, but we also do not prescribe TRT to men with normal labs and no symptoms.

The default delivery method at our clinic is weekly testosterone cypionate injections in-clinic, which produce stable serum levels with the simplest dose calibration. Topicals (cream or gel) are useful when injections aren't preferred. Pellets (every 3 to 6 months) offer convenience but the dose can't be adjusted once placed. We discuss all three at the first visit and choose based on schedule, response, and labs.

Monitoring is what separates done-right TRT from franchise-clinic TRT. Our protocol checks total and free testosterone, SHBG, sensitive estradiol, hematocrit, prolactin, PSA (men 40+), comprehensive metabolic panel, and lipid panel at baseline, six weeks, and quarterly thereafter. Most franchise clinics check total testosterone alone. The difference shows up over years.

FAQ for Grapevine TRT patients

Common questions, honestly answered.

What testosterone level qualifies me for TRT?
Most insurance and evidence-based protocols use two morning total testosterone readings under 300 ng/dL plus documented symptoms. Some men feel terrible at 350–450 ng/dL with low free testosterone or high SHBG — those cases we evaluate individually. We do not prescribe TRT to men with normal labs and no symptoms.
How quickly will I feel results from TRT?
Most men notice changes in energy, sleep quality, and morning function within 2–4 weeks. Body composition (muscle, fat distribution) and strength take 8–12 weeks. Full benefits typically emerge by month four after first dose calibration.
What's included in the $199/month?
Everything related to your testosterone treatment: medication (testosterone cypionate or topical), weekly in-clinic injections, comprehensive lab panels every 6–12 weeks (total T, free T, SHBG, sensitive estradiol, hematocrit, prolactin, PSA, CMP, lipid panel, A1c), body composition scans, and physician follow-ups. No add-on fees.
How far is the clinic from Grapevine, TX?
Our office is at 2111 Kirkwood Blvd, Suite 110a, Southlake, TX 76092 — about 10–15 minutes from Grapevine via SH 114 or Northwest Highway. The first visit is free and takes 15 minutes.
Why drive to Southlake when there are clinics in Grapevine?
Most chain TRT clinics are franchise operations with a remote medical director who never sees the patient. Magnolia is physician-owned, physician-run, and every plan is built or reviewed by Dr. Farhan Abdullah, DO — a board-certified internal medicine physician and active DFW hospitalist. Grapevine patients who switch to us almost always tried two or three local clinics first.
Do you offer telehealth follow-ups for Grapevine patients?
Yes. After the initial in-person workup, most ongoing care for Grapevine patients runs through telehealth: labs at any Quest or LabCorp near you, video visits with the medical director, and medications shipped directly. We need you in-person again only for procedures or annual physical examination.
